Time for those fake New Year's resolutions

I am riffing on a semi-regular annual New Year's column in my newspapers. It’s time for my New Year’s resolutions for other people, along with a few belated Christmas gifts.

These are mainly snarky, but serious ones are in the mix as well. Let’s start there.

So, for Jethro Jerry Jones, if I had the magic power to gift you this, it would be a playoff appearance. But, not just any playoff appearance. Instead, a rematch of the regular season game, the kissing not your sister but Micah Parsons tie with the Green Bay Packers. That said, your Cowboys appear to have fallen short of any playoff appearance, and Micah Parsons’ knee has interrupted a rematch.

For all non-Republican political parties in Texas (“all” means there’s more than one), a resolution to get more political candidates.

For Cooper Flagg? The first-ever Jason Kidd Rookie Point Guard of the Year award.

For the Joker, aka Big Honey, aka Nicola Jokic? Winning that double-double of the NBA rebounding and assists title, and doing it while taking the Denver Nuggets to another NBA title.

UPDATE: Sadly, it looks like he'll miss the 65-game minimum, unless that hyperextended knee has some miracle healing.

For Major League Baseball fans? A season that doesn’t end with an owners’ lockout after it’s done, or, shades of 1994, a players’ strike before it reaches the finish lines.

For Brandon Gill, a town hall in the area. Ask Ernest Lineberger what they are if you need to. Maybe Gavin Solomon and Robert Chick can find 20,000 mules to help convey you to one before the end of February. That said, Republicans in my area appear to have you covered.

The REAL footprints in the sand

Whether you're actually a secularist or not, you may, like me, be tired of the old "footprints in the sand" saying. I'd call it a poem, but to use the word "poem" for such writing does violence to the word "poem."

So, about two months ago, hiking a freshwater beach area at my nearby national wildlife refuge, when I stumbled upon a series of shoreline footprints due to a great blue heron, I knew what I had to do.

And, that is what you see below.

(It definitely embiggens when you click.)

This is not quite William Henley's "Invictus," with which I don't totally agree. (And, to the degree Invictus is a kind of lodestar for Gnu Atheists, that's part of why I disagree with them.)

That said, this is a good place for me to quote the self-invented secular Shahada:

"There is no god and I am his prophet."

Simon and Garfunkel meet MAHA and MAGA: "The sound of stupid"

Riffing on a comment in a post on Reddit's r/nationalparks about Brainworm Bobby being stupid enough to go swimming in Rock Creek, with the insinuation he was vying for a Darwin Award.

Their comment was "Hello Darwin, my old friend," and I knew what they were riffing on, and ran with it.

Hello Darwin, my old friend.
I've come to talk to you again.
Because a brainworm softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the screwworm that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of stupid.

In MAHA dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
On the top of a street slab
I turned my collar to the vax and jab
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of stupid

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without knowing
People hearing without learning
People writing songs that voices never share
No one dared
Disturb the sound of stupid.

"Fools" said "(You)I, Yet do not know
Stupid like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might fleece you
Take my arms that I might cheat you"
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of stupid

And the people bowed and prayed
To the golden god they made
And the hat flashed out its warning
In the words that it was screaming

And the sign said, "The words of Donald Trump
Are written on the White House walls
And Mar-a-Lago halls"
And whispered in the sounds of stupid.

I shot the JFK, but I did not shoot the LBJ

Riffing on Bob Marley and the Wailers, it's another anniversary of one of Merikkka's dumbest and most ill-informed, yet non-charmingly endearing conspiracy theories.

In reality, besides the buttloads of physical evidence? If one looks at the history of actual and attempted U.S. presidential assassinations, Lee Harvey Oswald is nowhere outside the norm on either being a nutter or on acting for actual or alleged political reasons. I addressed that on the 60th anniversary.

That won't stop the David Talbots, Jefferson Morleys and other nutters from continuing with their nuttery, of course.

And, with Donald J. Cheeseburger re-entering the White House in two months, it will all ramp up more, starting with Jan. 20, 2025.

That said, Trump head-faked Morley et al in his first term and didn't release "everything." THAT said, Morley has claimed to know what files he's not getting, in one of the biggest-ass cases of circular reasoning I've ever seen. Of course, he also lied about no longer being a JFK conspiracy theorist.

Reminder: I know the difference between a conspiracy and a conspiracy theory.

"Introducing," and spoofing and skewering, Mark Robinson; and Clarence Thomas; and Glenn Greenwald; and Ashley Madison; among others

North Carolina's Republican gubernatorial candidate had already made himself easily, easily spoofable, but per CNN digging up a whole new set of trash from his past, he's done a bigly, MAGA-sized shark jumping. As in, a whole school of sharks.

But, rather than just share his comments in response to the CNN piece on Twitter, I thought they needed quot-tweets, that included involving the other names.

Sorry if there's any part of the tweets you can't read. I'll try to take the time to transcribe to plain text, but, there's a reason you can't read the tweets.

So:

And:

And:

For background on Blue Glenn, go here. (You'll also see the King James Version claims of how he met David Miranda debunked.)

And:

And:

See here for the Ashley Madison if you were asleep at the switch yesterday.

And:

And:

There you go.

Well, no, because I realized that Simon and Garfunkel had covered this:

THERE you go.

The unbearable lightness of Scottie Scheffler

By now, every golfing fan and his or her grandma has heard about the early Friday morning incident at the PGA Championship, that is, the arrest of Scottie Scheffler. Update Saturday May 18: "Shock me" that Louisville Metro Police say they have NO bodycam footage of the arrest. The first Tweet below takes on added seriousness. (For more on the serious angle, see below if you want to cut to the chase. You can always scroll back up to read the snark, and snark-cum-seriousness, in order.)

Of course, Twitter is the place to snark.

So, from earliest to latest posts on Friday by me, here you go:

First

Then

And

Next

And

===

Update: More seriously, per the update above, pants-ripped Gillis either had no bodycam or else didn't have it turned on. And, yes, as Black folk often face:

[Louisville Metro Police] procedures states that officers are required to "maintain their BWC [body-worn camera] in a constant state of operational readiness."

"The BWC will be used to record all calls for service and law enforcement activities/encounters (e.g. arrests, citations, stops, pursuits, Code 3 operations/responses, searches, seizures, interviews, identifications, use of force incidents, collisions, transports, warrants, official conversations on departmental smartphones, etc.)," the procedures said. "Members are mandated to adhere to the following procedures in order to capture law enforcement-related activity."

The procedures further state that officers "will immediately activate their BWC in recording mode prior to engaging in all law enforcement activities or encounters."

There you go.  And, per the ESPN link above, since Scottie is not only White, but 0.1 percenter, if not 0.01 percenter, rich, the charges WILL be dropped. And, any legal action may be the city of Louisville and Louisville Metro PD lawyering up with immunity claims vs possible lawsuit.

===

Back to the snark.

Followed by

Then

Followed by

And capped with:

And, that may be a wrap.

==

Not quite a wrap. Not only were the charges dropped May 29, but we found out that Gillis has a bad record:

And is a cop grifting with a collision investigation service on the side.

Why did it take a rich White guy being arrested for this to all come to light?

Antiwar is as dead as Justin Raimondo?

I did an expanded version of this post, my callout back to David Rieff about a serious peace plan to end the Russia-Ukraine war, at Substack.

I had sent the original to Counterpunch, heard nothing. Sent the Substack version to Antiwar, the late Justin Raimondo's home grounds.

And, egarris there, Eric Garris, Antiwar's co-founder, said:
A bit too snarky for us (quite a bit). Thank you, appreciate the sentiment.
I emailed back, and responded to myself on Twitter that, something can be totally serious even if it appears snarky.

I did NOT email him, but DID post as a comment to myself on the Substack, and on Twitter, that I guess Justin Raimondo really is dead.

That said, as I noted in my blogged obit of him, I didn't agree with his blanket antiwar stance, and outside of that, I thought he was pretty much a nutter. And, that piece reminds me that Garras is a nutter in many ways, too. I also also forgot that current editorial director Scott Horton, like both of them, is a conspiracy theorist, though not perhaps as much of a general political nutter.

Oh, well. Truthout next? Actually, per their submission guidelines and areas of interest, hard no. And, I'd forgotten it has had some recent troubles. So, I shot it to Alternet. And, I stressed in an introductory paragraph that it was NOT snark.

Also NOT snark is in that 4-year-old blogged obit, Eric, about you, Justin and Scott being nutters.

Snark? The header is high-octane, Bacardi 151 level snark.

So again, Antiwar? What's it good for? I guess that what it's good for in its own POV is just for Merikkkans. With some hindsight, especially given the Lew Rockwell background of both Raimondo and Garris, that shouldn't be surprising, either.

If I had thought of this in advance, based on old blogging, I might not have tried Antiwar. OTOH, it did let me see some of its actual hypocrisy. And, I'll take Mark Ames and Yasha Levine over you Rockwellians. Of further hypocrisy, the actual Randolph Bourne would loathe most the ideas of Raimondo, Garras et al.

As far as tone, snarkiness didn't even pop up in my mind while writing. Instead, I wondered if I was being too preachily didactic, with a "take your medicine" angle (for US-NATO-Ukraine) pushing something that isn't realistic for anybody but Vladimir Putin. I accept that as still being a possibility.

A wrap on Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles III, and dollar-store British democracy

Last week, I posted what was not so much, or even close to being, a takedown obit on Elizabeth (though it kind of was on the House of Windsor) as it was a takedown of Americans' weird "royals envy," which I called a class-based, or class connected, version of penis envy

Well, beyond that, I had plenty of HIGH grade snark on Twitter. Here's a roundup, starting with snark, then the camel's hump of seriousness and serious takedowns, then back to snark.

And

And

And

And, in response to a clear Twitter troll, and possibly a second account he runs as well responding to him, claiming that Americans are "geographist" (my words) and hate strong British women because they cried over Betty White's death but not the queen's?

(Dood's own Twitter bio shows him from Chicago, anyway, and besides, my original blog post was all about Americans and royals envy, not royals hating.)

Speaking of, South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa faced far more colonizing than did Ireland, or the Northern rump. Elizabeth didn't start any of this, and she reigned not ruled, but, given the source of the jewels in her crown and other things, it's fair to say that she stood on the backs, not of giants, but of colonial plunder.

And

See above about the British Empire, too. Also note this weird tradition with royal beekeepers. Again, if your democracy depends on a royal family, even if it reigns not rules, with such backgrounds, to uphold it? It's not much democracy. And, weirdly, the allegedly outside-the-box Unherd spent both Friday and Saturday email blasts last week with warnings, woe and boo-hooing about the future of British democracy.

And

And

That one was a mix of serious and snark, as is the next:

And, with that, it's back to pure snark.

And

And

And

There you go!

Salute Mother's Day, buy some hooch!

I'm sure it's been this way for years, even decades, but this year, the weekly grocery store circulars for this Wednesday-next Tuesday, including Mother's Day tomorrow, stuck out at me.

When did Wile E. Coyote, Genyus, marketers get the "bright" (in the Dan Denett way?) idea of peddling booze, even if the focus is on wine first, then beer, to celebrate Mother's Day?

Here's my snarky thinking on possible ideas behind that:

FIRST: Hey, dads, get your wife of 20 years drunk, then send the kids to the mall or whatever so she'll screw you for the first time in three months.

SECOND: Hey, dads, buy yourself some on-sale beer in case your wife nags you about an insufficient Mother's Day gift and nags you and the kids about not being appreciated enough.

THIRD: Hey, moms, feel free to drink that whole bottle or three of wine, tell the hubby and the kids to fuck off, then blame the booze.

FOURTH: Hey, single moms, buy yourself the wine, or beer, or whatever, then per "first," send the kids to the mall, then lock and bar the doors, whip out a couple of vibrators while getting drunk and give yourself a great Mother's Day present.

FIFTH: For married/partnered moms? Mom gets wine, dad gets beer. Both get half-drunk mad at each other, have angry sex, get drunker and madder yet, have more angry sex then makeup sex attempts as you get close to passing out, then forget about the whole thing the next morning.

Top blogging for October

My top 10 blog posts for October contained a mix of old and new, and were fairly heavy on coronavirus news.

But, No. 1 was a "takedown" obituary. I noted that I'll miss James Randi somewhat, but that the only thing "amazing" about him in the last 10-15 years was founders' syndrome, and related issues, while noting the fanbois were glossing over many problematic issues from even before then.

No. 2? This was essentially my 2018 election post-mortem, talking about roseys vs sunflowers, and DSA Dems vs. Greens, on Twitter. Kind of ironic since I decided not to vote this year.

No. 3? An update from a previous post, noting that LeBron is (arguably) No. 1 with Michael Jordan playing 1A, after his first Lakers title, and a title with a third different team.

No. 4? My combo of COVID and politics, spoofing Trump with new lyrics for Blue Γ–yster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper," now known as "Don't Fear the Virus."

No. 5? A roundup of coronavirus-related store boycotts and semi-boycotts.

No. 6? One of my top 10 all time, "Who is Actual Flatticus/Allan Smithee/Chris Chopin," is trending again. He'd mock Biden more than me, were he alive, while heaping scorn on Greens, but for sneering reasons, not principled politics, unlike mine.

No. 7? It was fun as hell to mock Glenn Greenwald after he took his butthurt ass away from The Intercept, and to mock Matt Taibbi and Max Blumenthal as part of the process. I guess other people feel the same.

No. 8? Based on personal experience, confirmed indirectly by the Cooke County Judge and county emergency manager (though a good elected Republican won't blame Gov. Strangeabbott), the "safety protocols" for events in the new normal? Kabuki theater.

No. 9? One specific boycott, at least of the local store — Tom Thumb.

No. 10 is a First Amendment issue. I content that Dallas' city-owned WRR is acting unconstitutionally in broadcasting religious services on Sundays.

Ben Carson checks in from Iowa

A lot of people are making fun of Trump's HUD Secretary Ben Carson for riding on Trump's campaign plane back from Iowa in a position that is not QUITE the "wingman":

Well, Carson is not taking this lying down, as he has shown on his Twitter responses to some of the people.

First, he said he was in the middle of the action:

And NOT "the back of the bus":
That's that.

Second, to anybody implying he was a token, he Tweeted:
THE black one, Carson should have capitalized.

Next, he said he had good reason for that spot:
And dain bramage is a real thing.

Next, he went after the "uncle Ben" comments:
Just like that.

And this:
There's more at that account.

Where's this come from? Jealousy, Carson said:
And, who wouldn't be jealous of Ben Carson, of course?

Update. Carson now tells us he found out why he was on that plane.

Sorry, Ben.

Greg AtLast ponders the mystery of #ActualFlatticus

Yes, folks, Greg AtLast, the smarter, saner doppelganger of Greg Palast, dropped in with time out from his busy schedule to discuss the mystery of Actual Flatticus, aka Alan Smithee, aka the in real life Christopher Chopin.

In addition to those insightful musings, AtLast also said he wondered why so many of Flatty's closest followers retweeted so much material that was from either winger or conspiracy theorist Tweeters.

And, here's those blog posts Greg AtLast was referencing.

First, here is the nearly complete and of importance (so far) history of Chris Chopin and family. This is what AtLast was referencing in terms of tips, etc.

Second, here's Flatty possibly being a sheepdogger himself; again, ironic at a minimum and perhaps more than that.

Third, here's the appeal to move beyond the duopoly and positively become active with third parties of the left — which would be true to the spirt of Flatty if he wasn't a double agent.

AtLast later remembered how Flatty fellated Jay Sekulow, Donald Trump's lawyer. Given his dad, L. Frank Chopin's, coziness to Donald Trump, it raises further the agent provocateur / double agent issue. (Or, if not coziness, in the early days, an element of getting played like a sucker.)

For those tips, to stay anonymous, you can post a comment here, but because comments are moderated, it doesn't have to show up as a comment post-approval!

Missing from Trump's generals cabinet? #MAGA

A lot of people have noted that Trump seems to be picking a lot of former generals to his cabinet.

(That said, maybe he forgot to watch Seven Days in May. A coup would trump [I see what I did there!] impeachment, would it not?)

In the spirit of fun, let's suggest some nominees for positions Trump has not yet filled.

More generals for the generals' cabinet:
1. Biggus Dickus for Secretary of State. If not him, Gen. Jack D. Ripper. I had actually thought of Ripper, with his fluoridation concerns, to run the EPA.
2. General Tso for what, FDA?
3. Gen. Phil Sheridan, of infamous mal mot about "the only good Indians I saw were dead" to run the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
4. Gen. William T. Sherman needs to be named to a newly-created Cabinet position, which would, of course, be Secretary of Texas. Or, since he preferred hell, he could run the White House faith-based initiatives program.
5. Gen. Smedley Butler is, of course, our Secretary of Commerce. Might as well be fully honest about this.
6. Quintus Fabius Maximus (we'll see who gets the reference) will be White House special counsel for Obamacare repeal.
7. Alexander the Great will be White House press secretary. Why? #MakeAlexanderGreat-Asiatics!
8. Gen. Lee could be our Secretary of Transportation. (Think about that one, too.)
9. "Gen." Jeffery Immelt is our Secretary of Energy.
10. The Donald could rename himself, or be renamed by others, as General Zod.

We do need a Secretary of the Navy, too.
Adm. Horatio Hornblower? Capt. Bligh? Capt. Ahab? Lt. Com. Queeg? The Navy guy from Village People? Gilligan?

Many American Generals and Admirals!

Make Admirals and Generals Autocrats!

Make All Generals Accountable!

I confess: I'm a #ManchurianBlogger

If you've been wondering why I've been defending Donald Trump from claims launched by everybody from Hillary Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook to old guard conservative pundit George Will, claims that he's some sort of Manchurian Candidate of Russian President Vladimir Putin, now you know.

Vlad the Impaler has bought me off. He gave me second pick on a bunch of Gazprom holdings and options that Ralph Nader didn't want, even though he had America Big Oil stocks when he ran against Bush and Gore in 2000, and even though he doesn't like the current lousy return on his investments to the point of yelling online at Fed chair Janet Yellen to stop quantitative easing.

So, Google Ads? Other monetization that pays not even pennies, just mills? Hasta la vista, baby!

So. other than the payout, why am I a Manchurian Blogger?

It's obvious, isn't it? I hate America.

I tout voting Green and calling out conspiracy theories because I'm a sexist hater of Hillary Clinton, since I'm not "with her."

Since I hate Hillary Clinton, I obviously hate the Democratic Party.

Therefore, I must hate hot dogs, apple pie, Chevrolet, Mike Bloomberg and more.

That's me.

Yep, Vlad bought me off so much that I hate critical thinking, all five freedoms of the First Amendment, the right for people to truly vote their conscience and not just talk about it, the right for people to have their vote matter, and much more.

No, Vlad doesn't have a second home in Chappaqua, New York. I think. Yet.

Maybe another round of leaked DNC emails will say otherwise.

Sorry; Vlad made me write that. And forge fake leaded emails.

All because I'm a Manchurian Blogger who hates America.

Deep Thoughts: Greg Abbott and Barack Obama

Greg Abbott, throwing "words" against a posterboard.
So, Gov-elect Strangeabbott is going to meet Dear Leader face-to-face at the White House on Friday.

I'm assuming Abbott is not quite crass enough to present a new lawsuit against Obama in person, but you never know.

He has now filed suit over Obama's immigration actions.

Will he bring a copy of that sign? Or at least spit its words out of his mouth, verbatim? Will he ask for some sort of Texas exemption from the Americans with Disabilities Act?

Of course, that's just the start of a whole series of rhetorical questions.

Will he try to outscholar our Constitutional.Law.Scholar.™president? (Not that either of them actually is, of course.)

Will Obama crack some Rick Perry jokes with him?

Will Obama explain that the Administrative Procedure Act means nothing like what Abbott wishes it meant, and that, based on Abbott's pollution related losses to Obama in SCOTUS earlier this year, he should know that?

Will Obama then remind Abbott in person that Obama punked him on other environmental cases? (And thus he has more reason for knowing what the APA means.)

Will Abbott try to "accidentally" run over Obama with his wheelchair?

Will Obama ask him what he thinks about Scott Panetti?

If so, will Abbott ask him back, based on his Illinois state senate days, if he still supports the death penalty himself?

Will Obama bluntly ask him something like, "Do you really believe all the stupidity you spout, Greg?"

Will Strangeabbott then actually start to get up out of his wheelchair in an attempt to punch out Obama?

Will Obama then threaten to keep drones permanently over the Texas governor's mansion?

Of course, that's assuming Abbott gets inside the White House.

"Sorry, Greg, that the Belgian Malinois dogs went a bit rough on you. You know the Secret Service has been under fire for being lax on presidential protection. Presidential Detail asked for a few items of clothing from somebody to upgrade the dogs' training, and ... well, you know how it goes."

"Yes, I do, Mr. President. These California campaign supporters (shh, I told the Texas Ethics Commission they were Texas donors) mailed me all these boxes of "Abortion Barbies" and I had to figure out what to do with them."

"Oh, please, call me 'Hussein.' You know you want to, just once. But — never in public!"

"Yeah, I have wanted to say it — 'Hussein, Hussein, Hussein!' Damn, that feels good."

"Thanks, Greg, that's all we need to confirm your voice recognition patterns for the National Security Agency. It's been a pleasure to meet you and do a little business today."

And, per the first story link, will the Austin American Statesman ever let Jonathan Tilove write columns as snarky as this?

6 ways this #wingnut bumper sticker is about the craziest you've ever seen

I'm not exactly sure what the message is here. Maybe there are multiple messages packed inside the one bumper sticker.

I do see that it's from American Life League, which definitely, definitely gets a "no follow" on that link, so, on paper, it's theoretically a pro-life bumper sticker.

First, in that case, the message seems 117 percent hysterical. Is ALL, which doesn't get stains out of laundry, nor teh stupidz out of wingnut thinking, trying to make us believe that a woman from Planned Parenthood is carrying around a butcher knife to do streetside butcher-shop abortions?

Second, is ALL now allied with some Minuteman/Militia group, warning us about "anchor babies"? And, speaking of that, do militia groups themselves support streetside butcher-shop abortions for stinking Mezcan Ill Eagles? Should we ask this of The Stinking Anglo Formerly Known as Danny Goeb™?

Third, is ALL allying with Open Carry Texas, saying that fetus (I'm sorry, unborn gun nuts) should be packing heat inside the womb? After all, that was the schtick of the late (metaphorically and politically), not-so-great Steve Stockman. I guess it would be harder to pull that M-16 out of a stubborn pro-lifer's uterus than about anything else, just on bulk, compared to an actual unborn gun nut.

Fourth, is ALL lining up with the neocons? "Women, if you have to have sex, make sure it's not with a Mooslim!" Speaking of, what do neocon pro-lifers think? Dunno what the Arabic is for "anchor baby," but I'll bet Pam Geller does.

Fifth, does the woman have a husband who's an executive at Raytheon? "Anchor baby" is perfectly fine if you're giving birth to a bouncing baby defense contractor whose daddy actually makes anchors. It's kind of OK if your husband is active duty in the military; just don't expect fiscal conservatives to pay the military hubby, or baby-bearing military wife, enough salary for the best in child rearing.

Sixth, is ALL worried that the pre-born might actually be targets in the War on Drugs? You know, like the picture at left?

Yep, that's your typical preborn baby smoking a bong made out of an automatic pistol. Now, if you're Steve Stockman, how do you tell if that's a real gun that baby's packing, or just a devil's tool of that devil drug, marijuana?

Toughie, isn't it?

So, ALL, why are you trying to confuse your loyal, humble, wingnut followers?

A few brief e-responses I'd like to send

Dear ACLU: Yes, I know I'm not a member. I've not given you a dime since the whole fallout over Executive Director Anthony Romero teaching the Ford Foundation how to comply with the Patriot Act became public and he and then-President Nadine Strossen purged three board members who were also upset. But, waste away on your paper pleas to me.

Dear Nation: I might consider subscribing ... about the same time you'd consider endorsing the Green Party candidate for president in 2012 instead of Obama. I'm sure you'll get back to me quickly on that one.

Dear Truthout: I'll consider subscribing when you publish more house-produced material.

Dear Harold Camping: If a Christian dies one day before the rapture, why?

Journalists across the state of Texas must be “on the take”

Just think; there’s about 500 public high schools at just the 4A and 5A levels. That’s 250 football games a week. Allowing for the fact that in some cases, one person may be doing “double duty” on coverage, but that you may have three newspapers at other games, plus radio and occasional TV coverage, that’s 2.5 or more press people per game.

So, by Jeff Melcher’s brilliant insight, there must be 750-800 journalists “on the take” every week at Texas high school football games.

Jeff, here’s the website for the Texas Press Association; please do contact them immediately about the hordes of corrupt journalists.
