Sportscaster Dale Hansen a cheapskate welcher?

Supposedly, the popular (?) Dallas WFAA-TV sports anchor , welched on a charitable gift at a suburban Dallas parochial school fundraiser a year ago.

The story is that, at a fundraiser gala a year ago, one of the items for bid at an auction was a round of golf with Hansen.

At this year’s auction (the auction and gala emceed by Hansen this year, and I believe last year), a similar package was again up for bid.

BUT…

When the bidding started, last year’s winning bidder asked Hansen if he would actually show up to play with this year’s winning bidder. Apparently that didn’t happen for last year’s winning bidder.

Dale… next time you preach about sports accountability on a Sunday night, bring a mirror with you to your spot on the anchor desk, perhaps.
