When you diss Democrats’ efforts to expand healthcare coverage in the country (and, since Barack Obama doesn’t offer universal coverage, we can’t call it “national healthcare”), the Texas Association of Health Underwriters might want to be more careful with spell-checking or proofreading.
Especially on a well-known Democrat’s name.
As far as I know, Mark Bellman, there is no BarRack Obama running for president. But there is in the TAHU media chairman’s press release from before the Texas primary. Read here, second graf.
TAHU is the Texas chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters, which of course has a vested interest in blocking any single-payer national healthcare system.
That said, Mr. Bellman, you could become an advocate FOR something — national healthcare based on an insurer-oriented voucher system. That said, for this to work right, your member insurers couldn’t cherry-pick coverage and they would be subject to federal regulation.
How about it, Mark?
A skeptical leftist's, or post-capitalist's, or eco-socialist's blog, including skepticism about leftism (and related things under other labels), but even more about other issues of politics. Free of duopoly and minor party ties. Also, a skeptical look at Gnu Atheism, religion, social sciences, more.
Note: Labels can help describe people but should never be used to pin them to an anthill.
As seen at Washington Babylon and other fine establishments
