SocraticGadfly: Calling out violent leftists

Calling out violent leftists

As a leftist myself, albeit a skeptical one, I have no problem in calling out violent agents provacateurs (they are) like Unity of Fields

I have done so since the Black Bloc's disruptiveness at the Seattle WTO meeting in 1998.

I did so early in Trump 1.0 and again half a dozen years ago with the more radical and violent portions of the "antifascism" movement (which I refused to call by its cutied-up short name), which lost me followers on social media. The first time, in fact, I said it was the Black Bloc rebranded.

And, in wake of the political assassinations in Minnesota (they are), covered in detail here, calling these people out needs to continue.

And, in light of all of this, per a long thread of mine on Shitter, while I love me some Ken Klippenstein, I think he has some bad framing on his piece about cancellation of the Minnesota "No Kings" protests. As noted at the end, had the Minneapolis protest, at least, gone on, I could have seen radical leftist counterviolence. If I were involved with organizing No Kings, I would have made the same call even without Walz's prompt — which I see as more reasonable than Ken does. Ken barked back, but the title of the piece, 'Kings move to cancel 'No Kings' protests in Minnesota" IS bad framing. Tim Walz made no such move, just a suggestion not to attend. (And, to do intellectual judo on Klip? If he was already that able to reference the full manifesto that much by mid-afternoon on Saturday, .... why wasn't he posting it himself? It sure sounds like he had the full thing. And, Vance Boelter was arrested Monday morning, so if an ongoing manhunt was what was holding Ken up, that's gone.) I would like to see Vance Boelter's actual manifesto, though, contra the wingnuts on Shitter, as per Ken Shorrock posting this link, we'd already learned more about him. Klippenstein had a second post later Saturday that had Boelter's resume or vita, but still no manifesto. And, other than the soft jobs skills, the exclusive resume doesn't say THAT much more than Boelter's LinkedIn.

At a minimum, it comes off as "too soon," Ken. You could have posted Sunday, with more detailed info, including perhaps convo with No Kings, and Boelter's full manifesto.

I will have a separate callout of No Kings, speaking of, this afternoon. I apologize that I had not done so earlier. As in months earlier, for non-duopoly leftist followers.
