‘Wall Street’ isn’t just on Wall Street anymore – be wary

Almost two-thirds of trading of New York Stock Exchange-listed stocks is done outside of the NYSE. The hiddenness of these “dark pools,” the Securities and Exchange Commission struggling to get up to speed on them, and questions about what, if any, tightening of oversight they will see under President Barack Obama’s proposed financial regulation reform, should scare you.
