Joe Biden is an open liar about pro-Palestinian protestors at Columbia, as well as a free speech hater, and coming closer to expressing quasi-dictatorial thoughts about the arrest of protestors there. Remember how Democraps claim this election is about democracy? Ever more, they're liars too. And, Columbia faculty is already protesting its neo-Nazi president (after asking her a week earlier not to be a neo-Nazi).
Given that just four weeks ago, Biden lied about seeing pix of dying Gazan kids, why should this be a surprise? It's also why I disagree with Mondoweiss. IMO, Biden is really into this; it's not just fear of "the Zionist lobby and its amen corner in the US," to quote Pat Buchanan. Whether Biden watched "Exodus" about three too many times (or read Leon Uris' book that many too many times) or what, I don't know. But, no, I think he's really into this. That's not mutually exclusive to the political angle, of course. But, that political angle was developed when Biden was hobnobbing with the likes of John Lewis on Black civil rights, and many African-Americans have moved bast that era today, too. If this were purely about politics, one would think Biden has a greater degree of nimbleness than Mondoweiss' take implies. That link above has far more on this line of thinking by me.
That's even as the odious HR 6090, the Assessing Antisemitism Act, was just passed by the House. Biden has said nothing about the clear intent to chill free speech.
