Obama to speak on race as Wright fallout hits campaign

A Rasmussen poll says 56 percent of those polled are less likely to vote for Barack Obama, because of some of the more incendiary comments of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the pastor of his church. And, this isn’t just a white issue:
Seventy-three percent (73%) of voters say that Wright’s comments are racially divisive. That opinion is held by 77% of White voters and 58% of African-American voters.

Obama is lucky Wright is retiring as minister at Trinity UCC. If he weren’t, Obama probably would have to leave the church to contain the damage.

Instead, he’s going to be giving a speech on race tomorrow night.
