Good pitching news for the Cards

Chris Carpenter threw another bullpen session Friday and Mulder did one Saturday. Mulder is still on schedule for mid-May return and Carp this summer.

That said, I’ll repeat what I have said more than once: trading Dan Haren to get Mulder, especially when Haren had shown in the minors he was a strikeout pitcher, was former GM Walt Jocketty’s worst trade, and one that belied his GM genius press clippings. (And I said that at the time the trade was being made.)
